Grading
Homework/Classwork: 15%
Quizzes: 35%
Tests: 50%
Additionally we will have several projects over the course of the year that will be counted as either a test or a quiz grade depending on the difficulty.
Late Work Policy
Assignments are considered on time if they are turned in by 4:15 pm the day they are due (this applies to electronically submitted assignments as well). Assignments are late if turned in after 4:15 on the due date.
I will not accept late work unless there is a valid emergency – this includes projects.
Absences
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see me when you have been absent. According to Durham Public Schools’ policy, you have 5 days to make up assignments you missed when you were absent.
On a personal note…
As your teacher, I am dedicated to do everything I can to make this year a successful one for you in and out of class. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know. The only thing I can ask from you is to put forth your best effort day in and day out. You should expect the same from me.
